Husband-and-wife Singapore based restaurateurs Arica and Roel Quimba are making their debut in Citrine Hub, Sunway Iskandar with Pizz, a casual dining restaurant. The Malaysia-Filipino couple have an impressive 19 years of F&B experience behind them including successful collaborations as part of the well-known Emmanuel Stroobant Group in Singapore. They live in Johor Bahru with their family, and this year they decided it was time to bring their expertise home. The name Pizz is directly derived from and inspired by the restaurant’s signature dish, the Pizza. Arica explains
“Our thin crust pizzas are made by hand and only prepared upon your order. They come in flavours such as salmon wasabi and butter chicken in addition to the classic and traditional toppings, reflecting the diverse community that Johor Bahru and Iskandar Puteri have now grown into.”
“Other than food quality, we are also focussed on service quality. It forms the hallmark and core of our other outlets in Singapore and it will continue here at Pizz” - says Roel.
Other notable items on the menu include a more-ish chicken crackling for a light bite, a hearty bone-in lamb shank, pasta favourite seafood marinara, broccoli prawn salad with creamy wasabi dressing and the well-loved chocolate lava cake for dessert.
The Pizz drinks menu features a range of light and refreshing ciders, a selection of bottled and draft beers, wines and non-alcoholic mocktails and soft drinks.Diners can expect comfort food at wallet-friendly prices served up with friendly, accessible yet unobtrusive service.
The space is warm with clean lines and neutral colours of a contemporary style and incorporates environmentally-friendly elements.Pizz is good for casual meals, as a relaxing place to unwind in the evenings, for pre and post party gatherings and is friendly to families, vegetarians, and large groups.
